Position: Talent Recruitment Manager, Talent Marketing Manager

Location: This role is physically housed at our Steele Street campus, 3230 East 38th Ave. Denver, CO 80205, but works at all U Prep campuses depending on need.

The Opportunity:

University Prep (U Prep) is seeking a Talent Recruitment Manager to join its expanding network of K-5, tuition-free, public charter elementary schools in the Denver Metro area. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will help develop and execute a talent communication, attraction and acquisition strategy that ultimately delivers some the best teachers to our classrooms from across the country. As U Prep gears up to open our third campus in the 2023-24 school year, this role is critical in bringing diverse, driven, and mission-aligned individuals into our organization and help to transform the life trajectories of the children we serve.

What you’ll do:

The Talent Recruitment Manager will play a critical role in attracting and engaging values-aligned candidates to deliver our incredible brand of education to scholars and their families. Working with the Central Office Leadership, you will help develop, implement and own University Prep’s staff recruitment strategy. As an organized and highly effective communicator with an eye for detail you will manage everything from social media to job postings to career events.  You will oversee the logistics of our hiring process, and engage candidates in a thoughtful and effective way that builds excitement, and encourages a deeper commitment to the organization with each step of the process. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:


Talent Attraction and Acquisition Strategy

·        Supporting University Prep leadership in the ongoing evaluation and development of a mission-aligned talent attraction and acquisition strategy that effectively builds University Prep’s employer brand.

·        Review and maintain hiring data, and utilize to inform a recruitment strategy that leverages key recruitment channels that ultimately results in sourcing highly-qualified, mission-aligned candidates.

·        Build new partnerships, and nurture existing relationships with third-party organizations to increase University Prep’s visibility at both the local and national level to attract exceptional talent.

·        Execute strategy by maintaining all job postings, social media channels, and ensuring presence at recruitment events.


Recruitment Marketing and Candidate Communication

·        ‘Sell’ U Prep to candidates by presenting the clear and compelling ‘why’ behind the work we do and the benefits of being on this team.

·        Create and manage the content and collateral that will help U Prep tell its story to candidates, including social media management

·        Support University Prep’s hiring process, including monitoring the talent pipeline, conducting resume reviews, scheduling zoom and final interviews.

·        Build a pipeline for talent recruitment efforts through outreach, phone calls, and networking.

·        Clearly track all candidate touchpoints within VidCruiter (our applicant tracking system) and manage all candidate information.

·        Manage candidate communications including emails and phone calls.

·        Work with team members to ensure all aspects of the interview process are clear, consistent and reflects the values and mission of University Prep.


Position Requirements:

·        Full commitment to, belief in, and alignment with the mission and vision of school.

·        Excellent Communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to build a quick rapport.

·        A genuine comfort and interest in engaging directly with people you don’t know.

·        High level of organization, detail-orientation, and the ability to focus and execute on tasks proactively and independently.

·        Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively and prioritize strategically.

·        The desire to work within a team environment while still taking personal accountability as necessary

·        Ability to approach situations with optimism and perseverance and a steady determination to pursue excellence regardless of the situation.

·        A drive to grow both professionally and personally and a healthy attitude toward feedback.

·        2+ years experience working in a similar talent recruitment or talent marketing role (preferred).

·        The tactical stuff:

-   A Bachelor’s degree.

-   Ability to work full-time, including some evenings and weekends along with a “whatever it takes” disposition.

-   Ability to work in person/in the school building. This is not remote/telecommuting role.

-   Ability to travel for work related events - between U Prep campuses, locally and on occasion nationally.


Compensation & Benefits:

·        Starting annual salary range: $60,000 - $75, 000.

·        Participation in the Colorado PERA retirement program, including a PERA 401K option.

·        U Prep pays 100% of the employee’s medical benefit and provides options to elect dental, vision, critical illness, and accident benefits.

·        U Prep contributes either $250 or $600 to a personal wellness account for each employee, depending on the health plan you choose

·        Potential access to moving relocation stipend, dependent on geography/distance from our organization.
